AR - The Arkansas Psychology Board at (501) 682-6167 requires 20 hours continuing education credit AND 3 hours of Ethics. The Arkansas Board accepts our home study due to the fact that the Healthcare Training Institute offers an exam to evaluate completion of the course as well as a certificate of completion. CA - The California Board of Psychology at (916) 574-7720 requires 36 hours of continuing education credit including 4 hrs Law and Ethics, 4 hrs Cultural Diversity, and 6 hrs in Suicide Assessment and Intervention, one-time only requirement beginning January 1, 2020. CT -

The Connecticut Department of Public Health at (860) 509-7603 requires 10 continuing education hours during each registration period with 2 hrs in Mental Health Conditions related to Veterans and Family Members of Veterans. IN - The Indiana Board of Examiners of Psychologists at (317) 232-2960 requires 40 hours of continuing education credit with 20 hours in Category I; to include 6 CE hours in Ethics. (See our Ethics courses.)  Continuing Education Deadline: August 31, 2026

10 hours of our home study are accepted as Category I hrs due to APA Approved Sponsorship and 20 hrs of home study are accepted as Category II hrs. Thus, the Indiana Psychologist licensing renewal Board accepts a total of 30 CE hours of our home study courses.

MD - The Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists at (410) 764-4787  requires 40 hours for Psychologists and 20 hours for Psychology Associates of continuing education with 3 hours in Ethics or Risk Management; 3 hours in Cultural Diversity (See our Ethics, Cultural Diversity, and Risk Management.) “If the psychologist supervised psychology associates during the reporting period, a minimum of 3 CE hours in activities designed to enhance competence in the provision of clinical supervision are required.” (See our Clinical Supervision courses.) Continuing Education Deadline: March 31st.

The Maryland Psychologist licensing renewal Board accepts 20 CE hours for Psychologists and 10 CE hrs for Psychology Associates of our home study, independent study due to APA Approved Sponsorship.

COVID Waiver: The MD Psychologist Licensing Renewal Board states, all CEUs can be earned via independent study.

The Michigan Board of Psychology accepts all 30 CE hours via our home study and online courses due to APA Approved Sponsorship. 
Human Trafficking: R 338.2525 Training standards for identifying victims of human trafficking; requirements.
Rule 25. (1) Pursuant to section 16148 of the code, MCL 333.16148, an individual seeking licensure or licensed shall complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the following standards: 
(a) Training content shall cover all of the following:
(i) Understanding the types and venues of human trafficking in the United States.
(ii) Identifying victims of human trafficking in health care settings.
(iii) Identifying the warning signs of human trafficking in health care settings for adults and minors.
(iv) Resources for reporting the suspected victims of human trafficking.
Our course is accepted due to our APA Approved Sponsorship.
Implicit Bias Training: For initial renewals completed after June 1, 2021, completion of one hour of implicit bias training is required for each year of licensure since June 1, 2021. If renewing prior to June 1, 2022, implicit bias training is not required for that renewal. Once the initial renewal is completed, then 1 hour of implicit bias training will be required for each year of the current license cycle going forward. Please note, this is not a one-time training and must be completed for each renewal cycle prior to the renewal being completed.
Healthcare Training Institute does not have an applicable Implicit Bias course at this time.

15 CE hours of our home study, distance education courses are accepted by the Nevada Psychologist licensing renewal Board due to APA Approved Sponsorship.

NY - Beginning January 1, 2021 each Licensed Psychologist must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education courses for each triennial registration period. All courses must be taken from psychology providers approved by the State Education Department, on the basis of an application, fee and the requirements in Education Law and Commissioner’s Regulations. Only courses taken from approved providers on or after January 1, 2021 are acceptable.

Due to individual course approval, cost, and size we are not seeking Psychologist NY course approval. However should you be licensed in a different state or licensed as a NY MFT, counselor, or social worker our courses are accepted by those NY Professional Boards due to approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors MHC-0113, licensed marriage and family therapists MFT-0061, and licensed social workers SW-0273.

OH - The Ohio State Board of Psychology at (614) 466-8808 requires 23 hours of continuing education credit with 4 hours in Ethics or Cultural Diversity, Professional conduct. (See our Ethics and Cultural Diversity courses). CE Deadline:  August 31, 2026

All 23 CE hours of our home study courses are accepted by the Ohio Psychologist licensing renewal Board due to APA Approved Sponsorship.
